If you wrongly input your password more than 5 times, your account will be locked and Hopin will send you an email with instructions to unlock it.
You may be presented with the below message when trying to login after you make a mistake with email address or password as well as when your account becomes locked after 5 wrong attempts.
After 5 wrong attempts an email is sent out automatically. Check your inbox for the email, if you don't see a new email please wait a few minutes and also check your junk/spam folder just in case. Again, wait a few minutes for the new email to arrive then open it, it should look like below.
Then click Unlock my account and you will be redirected to a page where your account will be automatically unlocked, and you will see a green message pop up:
Your account has been unlocked successfully. Please sign in to continue.
Proceed with login if you know your existing login credentials. In case you need to reset your password, you can do that here: https://hopin.com/users/password/new.
Below is how the unlock page with the unlock message looks like.
If unsuccessful, you now have different options:
- Enter the Unlock Code provided at the bottom of the unlock email (as shown above) and be redirected to the login page, to use existing credentials to log in
- If you want to reset your password click Forgot your password?
- Sign up for a new account in case the email address is no longer accessible
- Resend unlock instructions if the previous link has expired or to start from fresh with a new unlock email
Note: In case you receive multiple Hopin unlock emails, only open and use the last one you received. This is the URL of the unlock page: https://hopin.com/users/unlock in case you need it to resend the unlock email. In our example the unlock code is 'xWKX-nAA...' do not use this, your code will be unique and different.
